Storyteller - Taos Talking Pictures

The Taos Talking Pictures Festival (TTPF) had a brief, memorable run on the independent film circuit in the late 1990s. The fest took place in April and winning filmmakers received five acres of land in the nearby mountains. Chris Gore from Film Threat Magazine named TTPF one of the top 10 festivals in the country in his 1999 book, The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide. But the designation apparently didn't come with a cash prize, and TTPF closed up in 2003 due to money problems.
